On Sunday, May 22, 2016, at 6:15 p.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision at Danforth Avenue and Pharmacy Road.
It was reported that:
− a 23-year-old man was driving a 2010 Hyundai Elantra, westbound on Danforth Avenue, approaching Pharmacy Avenue
− a 12-year-old girl was attempting to cross Danforth Avenue at Pharmacy Avenue, from in front of a stopped TTC bus, which was servicing a stop at that location
− the girl was struck by the car as she stepped out from in front of the TTC bus
The 12-year-old girl suffered serious, non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital.
