Investigators are looking to identify three suspects who used counterfeit U.S. currency at a Whitby gas station.
On Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at approximately 6 p.m., three male suspects entered a gas station on Consumers Drive in Whitby and selected numerous gift cards and food items. All three tendered U.S. $50 bills as payment and left the station. Staff at the business later found the currency to be counterfeit.
Suspect #1 is described as male, black, in his mid-20s, approximately 5’5″ tall with facial hair. He was wearing a black denim jacket, a red shirt and a red ball cap.
Suspect #2 is described as male, black, mid-20s, approximately 6′ tall, with braided hair and wearing a black jacket and black jeans.
Suspect #3 is described as male, white, mid-20s, with short reddish hair and prescription glasses. He was wearing a dark sweater and beige pants and ball cap.
All three left the scene in a white Acura or Mercedes-style car, driven by Suspect #3.
