(WASAGA BEACH, ON.) – On May 22nd, 2016 at approximately 1:05 a.m., members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a motor vehicle that was eastbound on Mosley Street near Main Street that exhibited signs of possible impairment.
Police followed this motor vehicle and activated their emergency lights to stop this motor vehicle, which travelled from Main Street onto River Avenue Crescent where it stopped. Once Police approach the vehicle it was determined that the driver was operating this motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. However when Police requested this driver to exit his vehicle, he did not and instead drove away. Police followed and discovered that this motor vehicle had collided with an intersection island.
Charge with “Impaired Operation”, “Fail or Refuse to provide Sample”, “Dangerous Operation” and “Flight while pursed by Peace Officer” is a 22 year old male from Brampton, Ontario. First appearance was May 22nd, 2016.
