Two armed robbery suspects were arrested shortly after crashing their getaway car in Port Perry.
On Thursday, May 19, 2016, two males robbed the Greenbank Convenience Store at knifepoint and fled the scene in a vehicle. While travelling eastbound on Highway 7A at Simcoe Street in Port Perry, the suspect vehicle collided with another vehicle. Officers in the area quickly arrested the two suspects. Minor injuries were sustained in the collision.
An 18-year-old male and 20-year-old male will be facing robbery charges. Both were held for bail hearings.
