The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of an arrest in a Sexual Assault investigation involving the alleged administering of a noxious substance.
On Thursday, May 26, 2016, officers responded to a call for a sexual assault in the Yonge Street and Finch Avenue area.
It is alleged that:
– a 26-year-old woman answered an ad on Kijiji for the sale of a cat
– she went to an address and met with a man
– she agreed to purchase the cat
– she had some food and drinks with the man
– she began to feel unwell and was led to his bedroom where he sexually assaulted her
On Friday, May 27, 2016, Ghenadie Carpov, 52, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:
1) Sexual Assault
2) Administer Noxious Substance
He appeared in court at 1000 Finch Avenuce West on Friday, May 27, 2016, 10 a.m., room 301.
Police are concerned there may be other victims..
