Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are seeking witnesses following a serious collision in the City of Vaughan.
On Friday, May 27, 2016, at 1:20 p.m., York Regional Police were called to a serious collision in the intersection of Rutherford Road and Peter Rupert Avenue. When officers arrived they found a truck and an sport utility vehicle had collided. One female was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The Major Collision Investigation Unit has been called to the scene and intersection is expected to be closed for several hours. Please avoid the area.
The investigation is ongoing and any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police are being asked to come forward.
